1. Postgraduate Student Research Assistant (WHK) - Sustainable Consumption
Employing Institution: University of Bonn, ILR
Position: Graduate Student Research Assistant (WHF; 19 h/week)

- Support the chair’s research associate in research activities on issues in the field of sustainable consumption (e.g. sustainability labelling, consumer motives/values, marketing) with a special focus on sustainable food,
- Research and familiarisation with national and international research funding programmes,
- Content and administrative support in preparing research articles and funding applications (e.g. co-writing, proofreading, formatting, revising),
- Thematic literature research and preparation of literature lists and (systematic) literature reviews,
- Support in establishing research cooperations (e.g. acquisition of practice partners),
- Support in developing and pretesting quantitative-empirical research designs (e.g. choice experiments, surveys),
- Support with other content and administrative tasks, as required (e.g. preparation/implementation/follow-up of workshops).
2. Student Assistant - Drought risks in Europe
Employing Institution: United Nations University -Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS)
Position: Student Assistant (8-12 h/week)

- Under the guidance of the Head of the VARMAP section and the supervision of the project manager, the successful candidate will be entrusted with the following tasks:
- Conduct desk study and literature review on drought risks and gaps in drought risk assessments (with a special focus on Europe);
- Set up and maintain an online literature database (e.g. using Mendeley, Citavi or similar);
- Support the preparation of expert and stakeholder consultations (workshop and interviews);
- Support background research on drivers of drought risks (including hazard, exposure and vulnerability) for selected sectors and systems (e.g. agriculture, energy, etc…) in Europe;
- Support the creation of conceptual models (impact chains) of drought risk for different sectors and systems;
- Support the drafting of project deliverables and publications;
- In addition, the selected candidate is expected to support any other duties as may be assigned or required in the VARMAP section of UNU-EHS.
