{"id":7747,"date":"2021-04-23T09:45:14","date_gmt":"2021-04-23T07:45:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bonnalliance-icb.de\/?p=7747"},"modified":"2021-04-23T09:45:51","modified_gmt":"2021-04-23T07:45:51","slug":"call-for-abstracts-inquimus-workshop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bonnalliance.de\/en\/2021\/04\/call-for-abstracts-inquimus-workshop\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for abstracts: INQUIMUS workshop on transformational risk management and Loss &#038; Damage"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Scientists and practitioners are invited to submit abstracts to the INQUIMUS \u2018on tour\u2019 workshop for <strong><em>Transformational risk management and Loss &amp; Damage: What are suitable approaches for assessing climate-related (residual) risks?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Previously hosted by UNU-EHS in 2019, the INQUIMUS workshop will take place from 30 November to 2 December 2021 at International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), in Laxenburg, Austria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Abstracts addressing the following questions may be considered:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>What are the needs of decision advisors\/makers and from a science perspective for comprehensively assessing and managing compound and systemic climate-related risks that may lead beyond adaptation limits?<\/li><li>What are the gaps in existing risk assessment methodologies in the context of climate-related risks beyond adaptation limits?<\/li><li>What are experiences that showcase the spectrum of risk management options from incremental to transformational risk management?<\/li><li>(How) can existing risk assessment methods and tools be further developed (or need to be dropped) to address these gaps?
