We are pleased to invite you to the second digitainable<\/a> <\/strong>expert online event<\/p>\n on\u00a0February 23-24, 2021<\/strong>: REGISTRATION CLOSED<\/strong><\/p>\n This event will facilitate exchange among a range of experts from the private sector, academia, research institutions, governmental agencies, and international development agencies on opportunities and challenges Digitalization & Artificial Intelligence (D&AI)<\/a> pose to society, economy, and the environment in the context of sustainable development.\u00a0<\/p>\n How are D&AI helping to address the gaps hindering the progress of the UN Agenda 2030? More specificially, how are different D&AI technologies influencing the sustainable transformation pathways at a local, regional, national, and global level? How are the technologies being taken up by stakeholders, particularly the private sector and NGOs? What role can D&AI play for the sustainable transformation in light of CoVID-19? These are just a few out of many questions that will be driving the event discussions. Furthermore, the event intends to bring forth the gaps identified in our research and stimulate the discussion with experts to address the vital ones.<\/p>\n What can you expect from participating in the digitainable Forum?<\/strong><\/p>\n In the\u00a0digitainable<\/em>\u00a0Forum<\/em>, we will present and discuss the insights of the project\u00a0digitainable<\/a>. The digitainable Forum<\/em> will also act as a platform to exchange experiences, expert ideas, and best practices on the cross-section of D&AI for sustainability. Selected use cases from participants\u2019 contributions will be the cornerstones for our event theme sessions. The event sessions will focus on the so-called “5 Ps” that shape the SDGs: People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace, and Partnerships and their interaction with D&AI. Presenters will have the opportunity to share their work experience and knowledge about the mindful use of D&AI for the SDGs, and discuss insights, barriers, innovative ways and ideas with experts from diverse backgrounds. Furthermore, we will jointly assess the “digitainability” of the cases, i.e. looking at the degree of cross-fertilization of D&AI and sustainability (SDGs) using approaches developed by the digitainable team. Overall, we aim to facilitate dialogues that can assist in systematic advancement towards the alignment of D&AI for the SDGs and their respective indicators.
